sales BOM - schedule line correlation

Hi All,

I am working with a client wherein they have below requirement. Briefly, for ERLA they want to have delivery group set as 'A' schedule line correlation. I found out that schedule line correlation happens only for dates and not for quantity. There should be 1:1 ration for header and component materials.

  • a. The ultimate goal is to come up with a design for supporting Sales BOM where the confirmations of header and components are correlated (both date and quantities)
  • b.Focus on standard ERLA sales BOM alone and tell us what it takes to copy the header confirmations to components in the same ratio?
  • c.How would you differentiate/identify a sales BOM scenario because you wouldn’t follow (b) for all scenarios which include sub-items, e.g. for free goods?
  • d.What if we mandate to configure ATP at both header and component level? Would it be acceptable to our customers? What is the impact or disadvantages for the customer?

    In standard

    Indicator A means that the system generates correlated schedule lines. If no complete delivery is required, as soon as all the items in a bill of material are available, the system creates a correlated schedule line. On the first date, 
    when all items in a bill of material are available, a confirmed quantity is issued.

    This is not happening in your case ?

    Also, you have posted too many questions which cannot be answered in one stretch and moreover, I am not sure, what efforts you have put in to find out solution to your requirement. Did you search first before posting here?
