adding a field in further selection option when using PNP

when we run a report using PNP we get a further selections button on top. can we add a new field like molga, in that further selection option if yes then how...can someone help me on that.

The Selection Screen that you are referring to is generated by the program that creates the Logical DB PNP. This is program SAPDBPNP. To make MOLGA a field that is available in Further Selections you would have to modify this program and once you did then MOLGA would be able to be used anywhere that LDB PNP was used. I wouldn't do this. Another option is if it is a Z program that you are using PNP in is to add MOLGA as an additional selection field for this program and then add logic in the Z program to check it. This way it would be independent of the LDB.

Are u aware of HR_Report categories , U can check out there,if a field could be added.

when u go to attributes of a report (se38). From there u can go to report categories.

hi poonam but molga is not a field in any of those report categories. i want to add that to the existing one. can I do that...

Hi,

I guess the Report your using must be SAP standard report.If yes, then you have to copy that program to some Z-program & make the change in the program itself.

Because this logic is in program itself.

This is the only way.

Correct me, if I am wrong.

I am not sure of that. May be try creating a new Report category.

If it is a Standard SAP Report, you cannot do anything without an access key.. I wouldn't do that unless absolutely necessary.. You can copy it inot Z version & chnage the Report category in the report attributes.. You can always create your own Report category if the delivered ones aren't suitable.. Further Selections only enables you to add fields that are already available in the Report Category..
