Not able to increase decimal places for Hour unit of measure in routing

Hi experts,

I am not able to input more than 3 places for Hour unit of measure in routing time. Even though I increased decimal place rounding in CUNI system is not accepting more than 3 decimals in routing time. I am getting an error input must be in the format. Is this a standard error. Any solutions?

Is it possible to increase standard value decimal places in routing beyond 3 decimals. I am not able to find a way to do this.

Hi Rijil,

First of all, It is higly improbable that anybody requires 6 decimals.

You should change the operation qty and make it within 3 decimals.

That is how it is set up in legacy system and we have an interface to SAP. Is there any solution possible to increase decimal places in routing or it is a No.

Hi experts,

Any possible solution for increasing labor time decimals from 3 to 6 in routing operation. I am able to reduce the decimal places from 3 to 1 in CUNI. But not able to increase from 3 to 6. My unit of measure is in hours. Last option is to change the uom to Min. But wanted to see if we can change system behavior in configuration.

Hi Solomon,

I need 6 decimal places for labor time in hours. I could not find any ay to make this happen. In CUNI I extended to 6 decimal places for Hour uom. But when I enter time in routing system gives me a template error. And it seems this error is coming from FI. Any standard solution possible.

I agree with solomon you should check for which UOM you maintain in CUNI

Hi Rijil,

It is very much possible, please post your CUNI screen shot.

It will also work the same way if you maintain minitues instead of HR.

Or in routing you can change the base qty and enter the rounding value in standard values.

Screen shots attached. In your screen shot also I can find it is 3 decimals. Business do not want to change to minutes as they want to keep legacy uom.
