Unable to migrate BI web services in SAP BO 4.1 Sp5

Hello Experts,

Env: SAP BO 4.1 SP5.

I am trying to migrate the dashboard, webi and web services(generated on the top of webi block)

Through the Promotion Management tried to move the web services but web services didn't work(even a single web service). I have seen "Override settings" in PM and it says something related to Qaaws settings. But couldn't make any progress with that.

Can anyone give some light on this..

The BI 4.1 version of Promotion Manager has several bug in promoting certain types of objects (Web Services, Lumira Objects, Design Studio Connection, ..Jco connection....). I would strong advise to install test BI 4.2 w/SP3 test system and use the Promotion Manager from this version to mover objects from BI 4.1.5 DEV - QA - PROD. BI 4.2 has resolved many Promotion Manager related issues.

1. You're using old version of BI4.1 , you should be on BI4.2 Sp3
2. What exactly didn't work ? I mean - how are we supposed to answer "it didn't work"? If you want a helpful answer, you have to provide full information.
3. How do "override" setting relate to your problem ?

Thanks for the update.

1.Business is not yet ready to move to latest as of now.

2.Tried to migrate web services to Prod server, Promotion Management job says 'Partial Success' and web services were not migrated to Prod.

Removed the existing web services and tried to promote again but still job says 'Partial Success' and there were no web services in Prod(not migrated).

3.I am not sure about the feature "Qaaws Override" in "Override settings". I was just expecting some information of this feature if it is related to the qaaws migration.

Could you please share if you have any document of the web service migration in SAP BO 4.1 env..

#2 - There should be more details under Partial Success, as to which exact object failed and why.

#3 - QAAWS override settings are when you need to change QAAWS url during promotion. See overrides section of Admin guide.
