How to automatically insert a hierarchy node in an existing hierarchy?

Hello experts,

I have a requirement to insert hierarchy leaf nodes in different sections of an existing standard hierarchy in BW. I know how I can do it manually, but the problem is when the hierarchy will be updated or reloaded again (full load), everything added manually will be deleted.

Is there a way to automate this using any BW routines (infopackages, transformation or DTP)? Existing hierarchy was loaded from ECC.

If someone have done something similar , can you please share your solution

Thanks

JHN

    Hi,

    when loading hierarchies you have the option insert or update, you will have to use insert

    -->Infopackage

    -->Go to "Hierarchy Selection" tab

    -->In the bottom, you can see options for "Update Mode'

    -->Select option "Insert Subtree"

    Hi Koen,

    Thanks for your help. I know about that option. I wouldn't work. What I want is to insert individual nodes in different levels of an existing hieararchy.

    Hi,

    In very general, you can load a standard hierarchy and then create a load from IO to itself (hierarchy).

    Then in CMOD do an enhancement of 8XXX datasource (hierarchy datasource) and code whant you want there.

    BR,
