Hi

I need to have the option to download my report to excel, how do I do this in Visual Composer?

Hi Michelle,

In the tables you can activate the toolbar and create a button with the standard event "export data"

You can chose "row" "table" or "screen"

then you can open the Excel and paste the data.

It's a rough first draft. I plan on expanding the scenarios and eventually working on a full PDF export of your VC model, but this should get people by in the meantime...

This 'How-To' document is using an example of a BEx query. I am not using a BEx query, therefore I do not have a "Info port". How can I download to Excel from a table view that is not an iView of a BI query? (It is just a internal table coming from a BAPI).

- if the data source is a BW query, then use BEx Analyzer to get the query into Excel

Can you also describe, why exactly you need the data in Excel?

I need to offer to my users the option to download their reports to excel.So they can manipulate and format according to their business needs.

I suggested a how-to to two colleagues (Scott and Prakash), who creaed a lot of the how-tos for VC on SDN. Once they find time they will tackle that question and write a document with a workaround.
