Retrieving PDF doucment and converting it to xstring

Hi everyone,

I have a requirement where a PDF file needs to be retrieved from the request and converted into an xstring. The scenario is as follows. A workflow exists where a user logs on to the portal and initiates a BSP application that creates a pdf file. The pdf-file is created by a module from a smartform. The user has the possibility to edit the pdf document before. The editing is done by a standard component. So far so good. The requirement now is to retrieve the edited pdf file and put it back into the workflow. There is a module that can insert the data back into the workflow, but I need a way to retrieve the pdf document and create an xstring that is later processed. Any ideas?
