R/3 Data Source Change not showing in BW

We want to add a couple user fields to the 2LIS_11_VAHDR.

1. Add new fields to structure ZZMC11VA4ITM

2. Transaction LBWE

3. Found MC11VA0ITM and clicked on Maintenance.

4. Moved new fields from Left Pool to Right Selection Criteria. (My two fields are black, the others are blue. What do the colors mean?)

5. Clicked on Data Source 2LIS_11_VAHDR

6. Verified new field are there, set flags and saved.

7. Switched to BW and replicated data source.

I don't see the new fields in BW. If I go back to R/3, it looks ok in LBWE, but in RSA5 if I browse to 2LIS_11_VAHDR the new fields do not display there. Can anyone tell me what steps I'm missing in order to see these new fields in BW?

Hi Chris,

The colour black is because these are new fields not already introduced in left area.

In R/3 check in RSA6 and not RSA5.

Check also in RSO2 if the fields have flag "Hide", in this case remove these flags.

Replicate DataSource in BW and search it in Source System area --> right mouse click --> show objects: if you see your new fields go into InfoSource tree and find your InfoSource, double click on related Transfer Roules and select Tab DataSource. Select the view with the two windows (not the view with one windows and all fileds) find your new fields from right window and transport to left window.

I followed the steps and was able to see them in BW when working with Transfer rules. Thanks.

Also, the RSA6 transaction was helpful to know.

Hi,

You need to map those fields on the left hand side. Once you do that, they'll turn blue.

On the R3 side you need to goto RSA6 in order to look at the fields. RSA5 is used for installing the datasources.
