Hi All,

Following the SAP SQL guide I am trying to unload a specific partition from memory in a partitioned table in HANA. So far I am having problems with the correct syntax.

UNLOAD <table_name> [<partition_restriction>]

I managed to create a partition without any problems and I can merge the delta of the partition, however I cannot unload it.

Any help would be appreciated!

ALTER TABLE "TEST_PART"  PARTITION BY RANGE (ID)  (partition 1 <= VALUES < 2,PARTITION OTHERS);
MERGE DELTA OF "TEST_PART" PART 1; --works OK, can select the partition
UNLOAD "TEST_PART" PART 1; --syntax error

Hello Scott.

The syntax element in the UNLOAD statement to identify a partition is "PARTITION" instead of "PART".

And a further question is on which HANA release you are trying to execute the statement? The partition syntax element was introduced with HANA 2.0 SPS00, so it will not work on HANA 1.0 SPS versions (e.g. HANA 1.0 SPS12).

Florian
