Text Variables on Key figures ----Bhanu Gupta Any idea???

Hello Gurus,

I have a restricted key figure with a characteristic 'Region' and key figure 'Current Year' for a particular Amount. I am using this RKF as a CKF comparing Current vs Previous year. The description would be 'Region % Current Year vs Previous Year'.

I am able to create text variable for Region but not for Current Year and Previous Year i.e. only while comparing. How do I do that?

I am able to create text variables for individual years but not when comparing both.

Please help me out regarding this. Answers would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Experts,

When a particular Characteristic is used in the RKF and has a value and a variable defined in it, is it possible to just get the variable value as text variable and not the value under it.

Ex: I have Europe as a value pulled under Region and there is a variable (single, mandatory) which I would like to get the text variable on.

Please guys if you need more clarity, let me know.

Any opinion would be great.

Hi Nikki,

Is it always going to be Current Year and Previous year? I think you would need to create text variables processed by code in the exit that will deliver text for current year and another one for Previous Year.

Did not understand the second part of your question: Do you have Region char where you are resricting the value to Europe and then also using a variable for Region?

Hi,

Try to create text variables using replacement path process types.I think it should work.

Hope this helps

Kiran,

Thanks for the reply. Replacement path is no doubt used for text variables but its not working for the characteristics in the RKF and CKF and also when I have 2 key figures in my description i.e. Current year vs Previous year.

Thanks
