BDC for view V_T706B2

Hi All,

I have written BDC to create new entries for view V_T706B2. While passing the value (A or B or C or D or E)to the field ATYPE from legacy file, System is throwing a message "Field V_T706B2-ATYPE is not an input field".

How can it be handled, your inputs pls..

Are you able to enter the same values manually through sm30? If you are not able to enter in sm30, then nor does the bdc program.

Hi Ravi,

I could able to enter the values manually.

To add information to my query: The field which i mentioned is a dropdown. While entering manually verywell I could able to select any one of the values from the dropdown, but while populating the field at runtime, I couldnot.

This field has Fixed values of either A or B or C or D or E.

Either of these values(Characters) is mentioned in the legacy file as well.

Hi

I believe you can't use BDC for that trx, probably the dropdown list is screen element can't be simulated by BDC.

U should consider some programs (as enjoy trx) doesn't support BDC.

If not BDC is there is any other alternative to maintain the entries for view V_T706B2 as I need to enter minimum of 5000 entries.
