MultiCube Vs. ODS

Hi:

I have to create a report which shows data from ODS 0FIGL_O02.I have a cube created for this ODS but the characteristic 0MATERIAL is missing from the Infocube. I need 0MATERIAL on the report. SInce this charateristic is not in a Cube, i am planning to create a query on this ODS. But due to the amount of records in this ODS, I think the run time for a query will be unrealistic.

Now, I'm planning to create a Multicube using this ODS 0FIGL_O02. My question is whether this will improve performance of a report?
