Released Change Requests have changed status to modifiable

Hi all,

something very rare happend some days ago in my development R/3 client. Every released change request appear as modifiable, i mean, all the change requests that have been released before a specific day (eg. 14 Setiembre) now appear as modifiable.

The tasks that these change requests contain maintain the correct status (released) but the father change request appear as modifiable.

SAP says something about avoiding import requests(scc1) when other requests are been released. I didn't got it.

Now we need a secure way to correct the status of these requests. Can you help me please.

REgards,

Christian

Hi Christian,

The behaviour is so strange... as this usually happens only when u have a DB recovery to a past date. We had a data corruption and had to recover the DB to one day before..and there we observed this behaviour of the TR's which is natural..then a bit of confusion prevailed how to proceed...Can u check if any such thing hapened...

Just a bit of advice frommy side..as i am still puzzled of the case u presented.

Br,Sri

There is a known issue by SAP that when SCC1 is executing and the transport is released via the normal process the data and cofiles are created in the OS file system but the transport in SAP maintains a 'Modifiable' status. SAP suggested that we reduce the frequency of our SCC1 execution to mitigate this issue.

The issue is that transport release process does not check for a lock on the transport object.

In Table E070, which controls tasks and change requests, the field TRSTATUS appear as D (modifiable) for change requests that we know have been released before, even these change requests have been transported to QAS and PRD.

SAP said this situation has happend before to a couple of clients, and it is related to a rare situation with the use of trx. SCC1 (to transport requests to another client in the same server).

But, SAP doesn't say me how to correct the situation.

A possibility is to update field TRSTATUS in table E070 (for change requests we are sure had status released), but, you know, it is not a "supported" solution.

Christian

From my scant knowledge I would recommend reading about SE03 to verify system settings (not modifiable, etc.) and be looking at SCC4 for checking the changeable status for applicable client. You should be checking STMS and its documentation very carefully.Transport Management System

I am sure other Gurus can help, but I remember reading documentation for these transactions as well as SE95 (Modification Assistant).

Please post these kind of questions in the appropriate forum, by the way.

Thanks,

Marilyn
