Storage location refernce in the transfer requirement

Hello All

I've a requirement where the components to a process is supplied from two storage locations (R001 & F001, both assigned to the WH 199). The components storage location (R001) is derived from the PSA. For the TR to ignore the storage location, I set the config at SPRO > LE > WH > Interfaces > IM > Define storage location control as follows:

1. Set stor loc R001 as the standard location and set stor loc as F001 for 'do not copy stor loc in TR'.

2. In the 'stor loc control in WH mgmt' part of the config - WH(=199) / stor type (=100) / plant (= 9000) / mvt type (= 319).

3. Created a process order with two components (C1 & C2). However, in the process order, both these components have stor locations listed as R001 from the PSA.

4. In reality, the process order components C1 (is supplied from stor loc R001) and C2 (from stor loc F001). When I correct the storage locations in the process order, release it and SAVE -

I get these two error messages: (a) Stor loc in PUB (R001) is not the same as prod stor loc (F001) - Msg LP 099 (b) Generated pick request/WM initialization incomplete for operation 0033 - Msg LP 132. Process order has the status ERTR.

4. I ignored the message and tried to create the TO at LB13 - the TR generated only for the component C1 in stor loc R001 and there is no line item for component C2. The TO has the reference of the stor location R001.

Can you pl. tell me what I'm missing and what corrections must be made to this rectify this issue? Any help is sincerely appreciated.

thanks

BE

In Step 2 - Set your receiving storage location to R001. That way, when the material is moved to Storage Type 100, the IM movement from F001 to R001 should happen. Any particular reason that you are using movement type 319 here? I would think a 311 will get you across from one storage location to another.

Step 1 - I think the "Do not copy Storage Location in TR" is not relevant to this situation.

Also, in this case the IMG activity documentation is pretty good and has detailed examples.

Hello,

In step4, could you please confirm whether inspite of error messages, you were able to still release the process order & save? or it's not released yet due to error?

Thanks,
Balaji
