Establish connection to SMP from Ionic 2 mobile appl & Kapsel SDK12

Hi,

I am trying to achieve connection to SMP from Ionic 2 (Ionic & Angular 2) hybrid mobile application & Kapsel SDK12 . First of alI want to know whether it is possible to do so without using SAP UI5 at all and if yes, is there any documentation link that you can share so that I can go through the same.
