product variant in CRM

Hi all

I have created a configurable product in R/3 and also variants for the same. All of these have been downloaded to CRM. But, when I simulate the model in CRM, even if I choose the characteristics which were assigned in the variant, the variant does not get selected. Can anyone plz help me out?
