Choose Sales Area button is not active

Hi,

I am using CRM 5.0 as a standalone system, in which i want to create the Business Partner. I had also configured the Sales Area properly. But when i try to create the business partner, i am not able to choose the sales organization, distribution channel and the division. Please help.

Hi

Try the drop down that has Sales customer maintained / Business partner maintained. I am not exactly sure of the wording but you can find this in the Partner tab. If you are working at organizational leve then i think this will solve your problem. I come accross the same problem when checking if BP's are set up correctly and it does work in our environment when i change the option in the drop down box. The Sales area data tab should be immediately viewable once this is done.

Hi Youcef & Shankar,

Any changes in the sales area will not get updated immediately because of the catched buffer. You have to run the report 'HRBCI_ATTRIBUTES_BUFFER_UPDATE'. In note 737315 further details regarding this topic are described.

Now coming back to the issue of sales area tab is desabled, we need to refresh some of the screens in the CRM. I do not have the document with me. I will post once I reach home in the evening.

Hi Shankar,

In your Organization Model (tx PPOMA_CRM, you define your sales organization as an Organizational Unit. On the Function Tab, select the Sales button and check Sales Organization. On the Attribute tab, select Scenario Sales, select Obj. Permitted in Determination,

enter Tupel (distribution channel, division), Distribution Channel, Division and Save. The next day you should be able to select the Sales Org in the BP sales views.

Hello Heidi,

I have excatly the same problem the button "choose sales area" is not active when i'm on the sold-to BP view

I have created correctly the organisationnel model like you describe it and it is still not working ?

Also do you know why we need to wait a day before having the modification on the organisationnel model ?

the program SE38:CRM_ORG_INDEX_CREATE doesn't do the updates ?

Hi,

Could you please elaborate the question?

According to me if you are maintaining a sold-to-party role for BP, then only you will get the sales area TAB.

Let me know the details.
