ESS and DSM session problem

Hi guys,

we have installed ESS v50.4 on ITS, but when we try to run any pages, DSM alerts warning, that session management will not work, and the introduction page of sap r/3 via ITS is displayed in the portal. This happens for all ESS pages..

Did somebody solve problem like this?

Hi Peter,

You can turn off the DSM alerts warning that session management will not work by going to <b>System Administration --> Support --> SAP Applications --> Session Management Alerts</b> to <b>off</b>.

Hi!

Thanx for answer! What you say, turns off the warning, but the problem of not working session persists.

The real solution is to use full qualified domain name and not only the server name in the URL. Otherwise the portal works as it were in onother domain and here comes the problem with the session..

so, do not use XXXX:50000/irj/portal url, but xxxx.domain.rootdomain:50000/irj/portal (just an example!)
