Problem with SAP Portal 6.0

Friends,

I installed the EP 6.0 on J2EE engine. There is not a single problem i had at the time of installation. But after login when i clicked Roles and User Mapping under User Administration it throws me an err, internet explorer error Can not open internet site http://<hostname>:<portname>/irj/portal Operation Aborted.

Pls. help me in this situation.

Hi Harry,

Which SP level did u install ? ....

If it is NW04 SR1....i.e SP9 then u need to install Patch 8 for the roles to appear.

This patch is available at the http://service.sap.com/swdc

For further help revert back

Hello harry

Pl try to call using FQDN(Fully qualified domain name)...

hostname.company.com:port/irj/portal...

and also..do enter the FQDN in hosts file.
