XML Content and Actions : change layout set for iView

Former Member

Hello,

I need to modify the layout set parameter for around 50 iViews for which it is left to blank. I thought that with an xml export I would just have to change the parameter "rndRootLayoutSet" and then reload the xml.

But I don't find the parameter in the export result. Looking at the document <b>How to automate content creation via XML</b> I see that I can use actions for deleting content or assigning role ....

So I search how to add an attribute to iViews with the same prefix.

Does someone knows how to do this.

Hi,

have you thought about the multiple proerty replacement? http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/0f/764b87dfb948fcb13fd7695e157892/frameset.htm

A second idea: What if you export (with the XML-Tool) also one iView where the property is maintained? At least for this iView you should find the parameter in the XML

Hope, one of these helps

Kind reagrds

Thanks Karin,

At first I changed one iView and then did the export, this is how I found the name of the parameter.

I will have a look at property replacement option.

Thanks

Hi,

wouldn't it then be an option to copy the parameter from the xml that contains iView with LayouSet to the other xml? As far as I know, parameters are only exported if there is a value defined. Or did I miss the point?

Kind regards
