I am trying to use the mobile transaction to FreePack a Delivery Order. I have assigned the document to the mobile device. I have entered the High level pack item and lower level pack items. Upon saving the pack I see the heirarchy is created and the items are in stock. I do not see any association that the items were associated to the document or delivery order. The document status does not change. Is this proper behavior. How do I get the dock status to change and the items to be associated with the Delivery Order
If you are doing delivery order association you should use the LOAD operation not jsut the the pack. The LOAD will take your itmes out of inventory and associate them to your order.

Hi Peter,
If you are working on AII stand alone scenario, then attach the outbound/inbound external delivery document to your EPC. Incase of integrated scenario document type must be out/inbound delivery.
External delivery documents can be created at maintain documents in auto id cockpit. The document created here can be attached to the EPC in mobile transaction screen.
Once attached in mobile screen association to the document can be checked out in auto id cockpit. Its here where you can even change the status of the document.

Ashish

Ashish,
I am working on AII stand alone at this point. What do you mean by "attach the delivery document to your EPC". When I commission a tag and put in the Doc number the EPCS get associated with the Delivery order.
However. When I use the mobile pack wo/backend and I put in the Doc # and the EPCs I am packing, the hierarchy gets created and put into stock but the Document status does not change. Furthermore if the EPCs were not commissioned specifically for the Delivery but I want the association to take place during the pack procedure this does not occur.
Peter,
I tried your scenario in my system and was able to change the status of the document and also associate the delivery during the pack procedure in mobile screen.
To change the status use the F8 CmpDoc button while packing. However make sure that the external delivery document has been already created in system before changing the status using F8.
Incase you are creating a new document while packing then to change the status go to manage doc and choose the document created while packing and use F8 to change the status.
Ashish,
Thanks again. I will play with CmpDoc. Right now when I try to complete the document I get a segmentation fault. I will look for OSS notes for this. I do not understand why you would complete the document when it hasn't been packed or loaded yet. If you have a minute to explain this to me you can reach me at ppuzio@csc.com
