Error creating users in Portal

Hi

I have just installed our Portal 7.0 however I cant create or change users within user management. I keep getting the following error when I try to save the user:

"An error occurred in the persistence; contact your system administrator."

Have any one seen this error before ?.

Hi Mads,

Does the same happens for Administrator or super user login also...

If so, try setting com.sap.ume.unsecure=true

under System Admin - system Config - UME config - Direct Editing.

This would disable storing encryption.

If nothing works, try upgrading to next service pack.

Hi Venkat,

I am having the same problem to create user and group at Portal 7.0 after configured LDAP at UME.

I tried to follow yours advices but in EP 7.0 the option Direct Editing is not appearing in System Admin - system Config - UME config.

I found at Config Tool this setting: ume.usermapping.unsecure = TRUE

Do you know if it is setting that I need to change?
