Deactivate Opportunity from activity

Hi Forum,

I have a requirement where I have to restrict the user not to create opportunity from activity transaction. He has to create and process Opportunity only from Lead.

So please guide how I can hide opportunity as a follow-up transaction from Activity.

Thanks in advance

    Hi Sridhar,

There are two ways to do this,

1 ) DOnt create follow up transaction settings from Activity to Opportunity

    2) If you already have a setting delete the settings, Go to copy control for transactions in IMG and go to the record where it says 0001 to oppt or any other copy control settings from activty to oppt.. higlight the same and say delete

you should be good to go

thanks and Please reward points if this works

      Hi Venkat,

Thanks for the reply and sorry for delay in replying back.It has solved my problem.I donot maintain copy control of transaction types fron Activity to Opportunity and opportunity as follow-up to Activity is not possible.

      Have rewarded points.
