Unable to Delete Controlling Area

Hi ...

I woukd like to delete controlling area 9100, but when I delete I receive a message at the bottom " Groups still exist in controlling area in 9100 " . how do I go about it ?

Well, do try it out in the DEV before carrying it out at the production because there will be a lot of inconsistency from FI if you do so...

Hi,

Beside deletion of all master data in CO you need to un assign company codes to controlling area.

Please check in Dev. system and then implement in prod.system

Have already un assigned the company codes after deleting all master data, bu the error 'Groups still available' still remains.

I am also facing the same problem. Even after deleting everything, it still gives the error "Groups still exist in controlling area in 9100". Only the standard hierarchy is left, which the system doesnt allow to delete.

you have to delete the number ranges creted for the controling area

then it will allow to delete the controlling area

Hi,

we cannot directly delete Controlling Area,

if the entires are posted, or we have cost center hireachy active, and number ranges...then we have delete all,

One Question, are you trying in DEV all this, is it for your learing...or you got some isues in Prodcution.
