Hi,
Get the following error in the logs
Critical shutdown was invoked. Reason is: Core service com.sap.security.core.ume.service failed. J2EE Engine cannot be started.
How do I reset ume settings?

Under UME LDAP data.. the configuration parameters are greyed out. I cannot change them?

open up the Config Tool, which will enable you change the UME settings.
