Hi All,

I am not recieving alerts in AlertInbox when there is any error in mapping programs.

But I am getting alerts for Adapter error and from BPM.

The condition for alert rule is No Restriction.

I am on SP15 and note 913858 is applied. I am also not getting any dumps in ST22 for XIRWBUSER. So i am like struck dont know where to check.

Kindly suggest where i am going wrong.

Regards,

Satish Chauhan

PS: I have read Michal's blog on alerts.

Satish,

Maybe Suppress Multiple Alerts of this rule has been selected? Just deselect it in alert rules and check.,

I have tried both ways , with/without supressing multiple alerts.

Adapter errors are working exactly the way i desire with checking/unchecking supress button.

I have tried to throw alert from BPM it is working fine.

But when it comes to mapping inside or outside BPM, its is not showing alerts.

Moreover any error in pipeline is also not thrown?

Can the problem be with abap stack(Integration engine). If yes where to correct it?

Satish,

Looks like Integration Engine Alerts are not getting caught. Am not sure why though..!!

Hello Satish,

I have now the same problem that you mentioned here. We have one alert rule define with "No restrictions". If it happens an adapter engine error the alert is generated ok, but If an error occurs at integration engine, I mean in a mapping program no alerts are generated.

Could you solve this problem? Did you have any news since the time you posted this problem?

Kind Regards,

Patricio.

Do you see your alerts in ALRTDISP transaction for this Alert category? Have you tried generating alerts other than mapping ones in IE.

Check these logs to see if there are any activities at all to trigger alerts in IE

Logging:

The report SXMSALERT_LOGREADER displays the log entries that are written during the preparation and creation of an alert.

The java part of the log is contained in the traces of the Adapterframework service on the J2EE (location com/sap/aii/af/service in the J2EE log-configurator) and can be read via the log-viewer of the Visual Administrator or from the defaultTrace.x.trc file on the file system.

Also, check 913858. I found it to be helpful.

Hi Pam,

I executed the report that you mentioned.

I found that there was an error on one of the step before creating the alert. It was related with an XI User. The PIRWUSER user was locked. I unlocked the user, tested again and the alert was created great.

Thank you very much for your help!!

Patricio.
