Unicode-NonUnicode Transport

What are the restrictions when transporting from Unicode to Non-unicode system?

The Unicode FAQ refer to SAP Note 638357 but this note is not available in SAP service marketplace.

    Hi!

Try it and you will see it. Maybe you can first make a test import in the target system.

If the objects contained in this transport are not existent in the target system and should be added by the transport, I see no risk. If these objects exist, then put them into a transport order and export and save them before you start the import. If these objects should be destroyed during the UniCode Transport import, then you can "recover" them with the transport you exported.

    Hope this helps.

    Regards,

    Volker
