How do I get rid of the annoying white vertical line shown in the toolarea? I think it might have something to do with the task divider. But can't seem to get rid of it. Please help!

Hi Mary,

You may try removing or disabling the visibility in the Portal Theme Editor.

are you suggesting that I disable the whole toolarea?

Well I finally figure it out. All I had to do was create a bg image of the color I wanted for the toolarea and link to it and that was how I removed the white vertical line.

Ok what you would have to do is create a background image of the color your want your tool area to be. Rather it be greyish white or dark in color. Then under the theme editor you have an option to upload an image to the toolarea. Doing so will cover up the vertical line.

In my case my toolarea is blue and the vertical line was white. So I created a blue image the size of the toolarea in hieght and uploaded it and set repeating to y-repeat. And that took care of my vertical white line.

Hope that helps.

i have created a background image of type but there is no option like "upload an image to the tool area" in theme editor rather " background color of tool area" option is there but there also i cannot find the desired greyish-white colour.

Ok under the theme editor for the tool area there is an option for "URL to Background Image of Tool Area" that will be where you upload the image...and you can see the bg color to transparent.

and although you can't find the color you want in the theme editor all you have to do is input the color code and the system should find it.

example: #3044B5 - will give you the blue color that i am using.. all you need is the 6 character code of your chosen color.

for me align =right did not work so what I did was removed the width=100%. and that fixed my problem.
