Two R/3 Systems

We need to Connect Two of our R/3 Systems (NOT THE CLIENT, Two Independent R/3 Systems) to XI. And we are going to Send IDOCS(PO) to xi and then to Supplier(s).

1) What are all the configuration needs to be done at R/3?

2) What are all the configuration needs to be done at XI?

Thanks.

    Hi,

Pls check the document in the media library, "How To Configure the IDoc Adapter", in http://service.sap.com/xi.

    Hi Mohini,

    1) What are all the configuration needs to be done at R/3?

a)Maintain a RFC destination pointing to XI system which is having all relevant authorization.

    b) Maintain the TRFC port in WE21 transaction of R/3 system which uses the RFC destination created in point a.

    c) Maintain partner profiles and the idoc type messages.

    2) What are all the configuration needs to be done at XI?

    a) Maintain the RFC destination from XI system pointing to R/3 system.

    b) Maintain port in IDX1 port which uses the RFC destination created in the previous step.

    c) check the connection by importing the idoc metadata in IDX2 transaction.

Over and above all these maintain the Business System and Technical Systems for the R/3 systems which you are using to send idocs to XI.

    Cheers

    JK
