How Do I Create A Workflow Rule For Lead Notification Assignment?

Hello everyone,

Here's the summary of what's been happening.

Good News: The sales person I'm assigning the lead to gets notified

Bad News: I also get notified even though I'm not the owner of the lead. I'm just the one who created and assigned an owner which is the sales person.

We both get the same notifcation.

What is the right workflow rule for this one? I've been working on it all day and still nothing.

    Hi Miguel,

    • You can create a Lead workflow with timing as "On Create only".
    • In conditions, you could have Owner equal to "*".
    • In recipient you can set a particular employee's name to which you are assigning lead. Else you can also set Recipient determination as "Manager of Main responsible Sales employee".

    For e.g. you are assigning a lead to a sales executive and you want his manager to be notified then above scenario will work. Otherwise in condition you can mention the name of Owner and it will only send the notification to the owner.

    In case of new account, if you reassigning a Owner (by default log in user is owner), then you could use timing as "On Save only".
