How to determine the batch stock in WM TO creation

when we using LP21 to create TR and then convert to TO . we want to using Batch determine a batch with specific order rather than the FIFO in WM picking strategy.

what should i do for this ?

1.Issues (Batch determine then WM picking strategy)

1.1.Issues

Warehouse is FIFO base on the expiration date. but once the parts are expired .QM department will check the parts, and after that if the material can be used , they will extend the expired date base on the total shelf life . but we also want the picking sequence is based on the original expiration date.

Thenthe idea is we can Follow the FIFO principlebut base on the manufacture date.

So whatever the expiration date changed, we will never change the manufacture date. And sequence is the same whatever FIFO base on the manufacture date or original expiration date. because original expiration date = manufacture date + total shelf life .

1.2.Demo

Base on GR date the 1^st should pickedbatch is 0006780670

Using LB11

But the Batch 1^st pick is 0006913700 not 0006780670 because of the manufacture date

1.3.Customizing

1.3.1.WM processing must 2 (local customizing )

1.3.2.Assign batch determination(central customizing )

Logistics – GeneralàBatch ManagementàBatch Determination and Batch Check

àBatch Search Procedure Allocation and Check ActivationàAssign WM Search

Procedure

1.4.Create Class & characteristic

1.4.1.CT04 - Characteristics Management

Reference to table field MCHA -HSDAT

1.4.2.BMC1 – Create Class (Batch)

Add the Characteristics to the Class

1.4.3.Create condition record

LS51 – Create

Then batch is sorted by the Production date (manufacture date )

FIFO by the manufacture date.

yes it works.

the important settings is we need change the parameter

WM processing to 2

in the Stock determination group settings .

but it is still not related to EWM, it is just WM and WM is in your Logistics Execution menu in your SAP system, and the related tag in the community here is LE (Logistics Execution) . so you should change your tag to get it into the right place

when you define a batch search strategy, you can assign a sort rule. Is that not enough?

BTW: this is NOT an EWM question.
