Cannot find this file

I am desktop support and have 2 users that have the problem listed below. The answer to this user was to upgrade. My users are on 2 different versions of Crystal Reports. One is on 2008 and the other 2013.

"Workbench problem

I have several report shortcuts on the workbench to reports I run monthly. Today when I clicked on a report it came up "Cannot find this file. Please verify that the correct path and file name are given". The shortcut is to a mapped network drive and if I open windows explorer and follow the path that is in the shortcut the file IS there and when I click on the file it does open???? Very frustrating as I use these (about 30) shortcuts monthly. Does anyone have a solution other than redoing all of the shortcuts, which I have had to do before."

Vitaly, I am desktop support, so I don't work in the program. Can you please explain what info should be in that file?

Is the problem only with Network Locations? Can you create a local connection as well for future tests?

Could it be that some security software like antivirus is blocking CR access to network locations?

The workbench content stored in:

c:\users\<UserName>\AppData\Local\Crystal Reports\projectexplorer.xml

Review the file separately if it holds the correct info.
