Run a SAP Portal "light"?

Hi all,

I was wondering it is possible to run a "SAP Enterprise Portal light". Actually we need only 1 Level of the top level navigation, the detailed navigation and the content area. All other functionality, e.g. portal header, favorites, are not needed and should not be shown.

Is it possible to customise the portal in this way?

Reason for this is that we use one portal server only as a content management instance.
