The Remote Engine is N/A

Hello.

I've installed NWDS on my notebook, but I'm not able to see the Remote Engine.

The funny thing is that on my friend's notebook everything seems ok. All the controlls are green.

We have the same version of NWDS, the same version of Java, the same hosts.dat, and the same parameters of message server host and message server port.

Any suggestions will be appreciated?

Hello,

I also just had the same problem when doing TutWD_FlightList_Init tutorial. I think this happen because when the tutorial being created, the path did not include <2.0.0> version. It means, instead of WD_RUNTIME/com.sap.dictionary.runtime_2.0.0/lib/SapDictionaryTypesRuntime.jar , it is referring to WD_RUNTIME/com.sap.dictionary.runtime/lib/SapDictionaryTypesRuntime.jar

How to solve is:

1. Click the Project root node.

2. On the context menu, choose the properties (right click the node)

3. Choose the 'Java Build Path'

4. Click the library with warning sign (Let's say we choose : WD_RUNTIME/com.sap.dictionary.runtime/lib/SapDictionaryTypesRuntime.jar)

5. Click 'Edit' button

6. Change the value from 'WD_RUNTIME/com.sap.dictionary.runtime/lib/SapDictionaryTypesRuntime.jar' to 'WD_RUNTIME/com.sap.dictionary.runtime_2.0.0/lib/SapDictionaryTypesRuntime.jar'

7. Press OK.

8. Continue with others library.

Proxy? I hope your hosts file is not named "hosts.dat" as you suggest. It should be "hosts" without an extension.

I've also had "hosts" without an extension file.

Anyway I reinstalled the SNWDS and it's "OK" now.

now I have another thing to solve 😕

I must have two versions of SNWDS installed on my desktop (2.0.9 and 7.0.09):

version 2.0.9 has no problem with deploying applications like jsp using htmlb, but doesn't work with WebDynPro applications:

Yes i get the exact same error list off missing libraries and plugins.

Did you find the solution for this problem?

Or do i have to reinstall my NDS and hope it works then?

Is there anyway to download and install these libraries and plugins ?

Is one off the library's NDS cant find while deploying the archive.

When i go and look for the directory i can see the problem.

'C:\Program Files\SAP\IDE\IDE70\eclipse\plugins\com.sap.dictionary.runtime<b>_2.0.0</b>\lib\SapDictionaryTypesRuntime.jar' is in fact the directory where the librayr is installed.

How do i make the project or NDS understand that he isnt searching the libraries in the right place?

You can go to the properties of the project, under libraries tab you will see the libraries with their paths, double click on each one that is missing reference and correct the path, mostly you will need the change the version number of library

from

WD_RUNTIME/com.sap.dictionary.services/lib/SapDictionaryTypeServices.jar

to

WD_RUNTIME/com.sap.dictionary.services<b>_2.0.0</b>/lib/SapDictionaryTypeServices.jar
