what is an add-in installation?

hello friends,

to my understanding, a dual stack WAS install is when you do an java and abap stack install.

now i am seeing the term add-in installation to refer to both stacks. is dual stack and add-in the same?

i've run across some docs and they seem to say that add-in installation means an abap install and than a java stack was added. is this true?

cheers,

mike

Yes . Add in mean actually adding a WAS Java to an already existing WAS ABAP . From NW04s , the concept has been changed to usage type .for eg AS - ABAP usage type , AS Java usage type etc
