Hi All,
I have a doubt that at what situations do we use SAP HCI-PI and when do we use SAP HCI-DS. Kindly explain me briefly. if possible provide me some business cases.

Hi Sandeep
Both are integration solutions, but the use cases are different. HCI-DS moves large amounts of data in bulk, whereas HCI-PI is message-oriented. You could transfer large amounts of data in bulk using HCI-PI, but it would be really, really inefficient.
You can think of HCI-DS as an ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) solution in the cloud.

Hi All,
I understand, HCI DS and HCI PI are seperate solution. But how is it packaged by SAP ?
Do we need separate licensing from SAP for HCI PI and HCI DS ? Or they come in Pair from SAP ?

Based on one of my interaction with SAP support, both tools need separate licensing. They have to be procured separately.
