Hi experts,
i have a question regarding Standard Bookmarks.
Is there any way to Change the title of an already existing Bookmark? I did not find any help so far. My first idea was to laod the selected Bookmark and then save it again with a different title. Loading the BM however, cancelled the script. Thus, this is not the way to go.
Can you provide any help?
Kind regards
Christian
Hi Christian,
Unfortunately, this is one of the limitations of bookmarks. There is no mechanism to rename a bookmark without reloading it and subsequently resaving. You need to load the bookmark, change the title and then resave it with the overwrite parameter.
It is not surprising that loading a standard bookmark cancels script execution because a standard bookmark effectively reloads/resets the app state. To avoid this you should try using a Fragment Bookmark that encapsulates the app. This should allow continuation of script execution as it only loads the "fragment" and not the entire app state.

Mustafa.

Thank you Mustafa for the quick and very helpful answer.
I thought that Fragment Bookmarks could be the only solution, just wanted to make sure I didn't miss on anything.
