SD Cube and ODS

Former Member

Hi All,

We have a requirement to activate the Sales Overview cube(or make a copy of it and build a custom cube) and extract data(both headre and line items) of Sales Orders, Deliveries and Billing Documents into it.

My TL wants me to extract the data first into an dODS and send the summarised data into the cube. I have searched in the business content if any standard ODS exista for all these but unfortunately I couldn't find any. I don't know if I am doing something in the search. Are there any standard ODS for these extractors?

Also, the customer wants to extract the Open Order Items also into BW. Is there any standard extrator for it?

Thanks,

RPK.

Hi RPK,

I do not know about any Standard ODS in Business Content, but you can create a custom one: Check in RSA1-->Business Content under Packages Area you will find some SD ODS. Also if I suggest you to create two cubes: one of detail and one of aggregation, extractors are built in SD for cubes and not for ODS. Pay attention that there is a particular note on uploading SD data in ODS, it is detailed in a SAP document. Send me a mail to riccardoventu@virgilio.it and I will send you the SAP document on SD extractors (please specify in your mail the object so to remember me).

Ciao.

Riccardo.

Hi Riccardo/Srini,

Thanks a lot for your replies.

Riccardo, I have gone through the document which you have sent me. I am unable to make out is I can use the ODS or not?

Also, What about the open order items. Do we have any standard extractor to extract them?

Thanks,

RPK.

Hi RPK,

yes you can use ODS, but you have to pay attention to 0RECORDMODE value, in particular if the same ODS is fed by two different extractors. I always suggest you to create in any case a Cube of detail and not an ODS, and feed Detail and Aggregate Cube in parallel and not sequentially, also for Performance reason.

About open orders you can see at page 8 of the document that you have MC11V_0ITM and MC11V_0SCL extractors for open orders.

Ciao.

Hi Riccardo,

I had a look into page 8 of the document but couldn't find any clue about the extractor for the open orders. If you dont mind could you pease let m eknow if there are any standard extractors for that or if the standard oredr items extractor itself picks them up etc.

I would be grateful if you can help me in this!!!

Thanks a lot,

RPK.

Hi Riccardo,

I have found that in the document...2LIS_11_V_ITM and 2LIS_11_V_SCL. but it does not say anything like Open orders about them but it says "Allocation of order item/Delivery item", does it mean the open items? If so, along with the extractors for orders, deliveries and billing we need to activate 2LIS_11_V_ITM and 2LIS_11_V_SCL to extract the open order items data. Am I correct?

Thanks,

RPk.

Hi RPK,

Yes, with these two DataSources you will have the detail of the open orders.

Here some detail from help:

2LIS_11_V_ITM: As of Release 20B, you can use this InfoSource to represent open order values and quantities in Business Warehouse for Sales and Shipping. Together with the InfoSource for Sales and Shipping-Schedule Line Consumption Data (from 20B), it replaces the original InfoSource for Sales Order/Delivery (2LIS_01_S263). Note that you can only use this InfoSource for delivery-relevant sales orders or deliveries that refer to sales orders.

2LIS_11_V_SCL: As of Release 20B, you can use this InfoSource to represent open order values and quantities in Business Warehouse for Sales and Shipping. Together with the InfoSource for Sales and Shipping Consumption Data for Items (from 20B), it replaces the original InfoSource for Sales Order/Delivery (2LIS_01_S263).

Check also 2LIS_11_VAITM: As of Release 20B, you can use this InfoSource specifically for item data in the sales order. Together with the InfoSources for the header and schedule line data in the sales order, it replaces the original InfoSource for the sales order (2LIS_01_S260).

Ciao.
