    hi,

once the object is developed we(ABAPers) will do unit testing.Once this is done successfully then we could inform the Functional Guys to carry out the Integerity test once the object has been transported to the respective boxes..

    Cheers,

    Abdul Hakim

As an ABAPer , we are responsible to do unit testing once the object is developed.

Sometimes, we might be required to do integration testing also if we have to deal with more than one objects from different modules.

At some scenarios, we may also do the boudary value analysis / regression testing to check the robustness of the objects .

So, ABAPers are mainly responsible for the validation of the object .

For the verification and adherence of the object to the specified requirement, Functional people take over .

    Thanks and Regards,

    Kunal

    hi Rajesh,

once u develop the object u have to test it by ur self

then u have to send it to testing environment ( testing client) there the testing people will do postive testing n negative testing like by giving all the compatable values n some times deviated values

they will test how the program is behaving for such un compatable values, what is the perfomace of u r program, how much time it is taking for execution... such stuff

    Regards,

    Naveen

    Hi,

In ABAP testing is majorly done at developers side. The developer is the only person who needs to correct the major errors.

General testing procedure we can divide in three ways.

    1) Unit testing

    2) Code Walk Through

    3) Final testing.

    1) In unit testing, the developer will run his/her object by giving his own test data and major errors will be resovled only here.

    2) In Code Walk Through, the next higher official in the project will do the CWT and tests with some test cases. Some other errors may be solved here.

    3) In Final testing, we have different tools in SAP provided by SAP like EPC and performace check like etc.. using them we can rectify erros in codes.

    Thanks,

    GSK
