Hi All,
I'm trying to activate the Planning Content in BW to be used in BW-BPS. From another SDN thread i find out the process as below and followed the steps...
1) log on to client 000 of your BW system (i did as DDIC)
2) goto transaction UPB_APPL_IMPORT (in client 000 of course) and click the planning function you want to install the busines content of (now the system says transaction UPB_APPL_IMPORT does not exist)
Rest of the 3-steps couldn't be completed since there is error in step 2
3) run transaction UPB_APPL_IMPORT; this will generate a transport request
4) release this transport in client 000
5) import in the working client
Please let me know what to do. Is there another method to active planning content in BW BPS. I'm using Netweaver 2004s with BI_CONT 703
Thanks & Regards,
Vikas Sharma
Sorry, the last time I check, the SEM-BPS so call business content 4* planning areas is part of the SEM add-on and not available for BW-BPS.
I had someone collect it from an SEM-BPS IDES and try to import it into BW-BPS 18+ months ago for a demo but the import failed since there are some 10+ functions that are not available in BW-BPS such as allocation, time-leg, etc. If I had time to collect the transport of contents / sample planning applications individually to those using only functions available in BW-BPS it might have worked but did not have time so I built the demo / proof of concept from scratch since the sample content would only have saved me a couple of days.
