BI server sizing

Hello Experts,

what is the basis for SAP BW server sizing?

can someone give me a doc explaining the basics

and the approach to BI7.0 sizing?

The quicksizer is the basis for sizing.

Note that in BI in SAP NetWeaver 2004s (ther term 7.0 never existed, the name is BI in SAP NetWeaver 2004s), java and portal are part of the thecnical foundation of the BI system. The must be sized also.

The "rule of thumb" is that java/ep take about 25% of the processing load of presentation. This takes some pressure off the ABAP engine.

Basically, utilize the quicksizer (you need good information, estimates, of data volume and number (and types) of users).
