Trigger workflow using change document

Hi, I am trying to start of a workflow from the creation of a billing doc-tcode VF01. The bus object has no create event,so i created one. configured change doc-swec,swed. Then found out that cdhdr does not log the creation of billing doc but only the change. any ideas would be great. any sap notes to apply?

Just curious , did you select "Create" action flag for this in the SEWD config?

Hi there , Viren I guess, thanks for the response, the answer to your question would be yes. I did select the create check box in swed. I dont see any mistake in the config that i have done, i debugged through the process to find that the function module which gets generated in the change doc creation/change tcode-scdo, only gets called when in change mode and not the create. the function mod name is faktbeleg_write_document incase you think it might help, getting to a solution.The best part is when i select a change radio button in tcode-swec the event is published which confirms that the config is fine. if you think of anything else....shoot a message..thanks anyway

Hello, I have the same problem but for the incoming invoice creation. No change document is triggered at creation whereas it is triggered at change...

Thibault, Sorry for the delay. I had not checked my mail for a long time. I have resolved the problem. I am using VF01 to create an invoice(billing document). the package/ development class of VF01 is VL. So just use tcode se80 and enter the package/ development class as VL and the objects would get listed. the last on the list should be business addins. If you implement the BADI and put in a break point you see the structure xvbrk and xvbrp populated with the data on save and the document gets posted to the DB. call the standard function swe_event_create and pass the required values to publish your custom event and it works fine. If you have problems then mail back. Thanks...oberon
