Disable specific condition type for an item category

Hi,

We have a item category which is not billing relevant and we would like to disable a specific pricing condition only for this item category in order. Is there any way I can do this via configuration? We would like to avoid any program /routine changes.

I cannot change the price relevance as in future we are planning to trigger a different pricing condition on this item category?

Unless there is something really special about your item category, for which you wish to exclude the specific condition, I am afraid, that there is no way to achieve what you ask without any development activities. Even if you go for using the item category as a part of the fields in the condition table to avoid creating routines (which is sometimes worse than a custom pricing requirement), this field needs to be a part of both KOMG and KOMP and has to be filled in pricing. From what I know, PSTYV is not in KOMG in standard systems.

If I were in your position, I would start by comparing the item categories and speak with the business to understand what is the differentiator for this item category.

Yes. We did have discussion with business. Actually we already have TAN line item on the sales order. This new item category is necessary because the material saves some other important information which we cannot move to TAN material.
