Hi to all
What is the max size of the cube and ODS?
I heared cube size is 100 gb ? Is this right?
Please let me know?
Thanks
Can you clarify your question - are you looking for a theoretical maximum size or do you want to know how big a particular ODS and Cube are.
The maximum size of a table is going to depend on the DB, but generally, the maximum table size a DB can support will be far larger than anything you are likely to ever need in BW - at least in terabytes in current versions of major DBs. Performance with large tables is likely to become a problem long before running into maximum size.
If you want to know how large a table is, DB02 can provide that. ST14 can be used to run a job and collect size information on ODS, Cubes, Dimensions, master Data, PSA, etc.

Hi Dear,
what you said is not true.
There is nothing like a maximum size of a cube. After all, the cube data is getting stored in the underlying. database. So, the size of a cube depends on the size of the database. This is why we have the Tcode "DB02" where we can adjust the database parameters so that the performance can be enhanced.
Thanks,
Raj

hi
i think more important is disk space, reporting perfomance and daatbase management system than 100 GB.
Hope it helps.

hi
cube/ods size cann't be defined by Data Base...
it depends on the dimensions(Max 16 including 3 system defined, and each demension can accommodate max of 248 characteristics).....and the size of the fact table...
Thanks
