Modification Comparison for SAP object

We'r trying to edit an SAP report LV60AFSL . we have authorization key from SAP Service Market place for that . But while trying to edit following msg comes.

"Carry out modification comparison for REPS LV60AFSL first. No changes possible"

Message no. EU526

Pl suggest what should do....

U have to use trx SPAU to adjust the object before updatin it

But how to use tcode SPAU to adjust the object..

Hi

Run trx SPAU and find your object in the list showed.

You should find the icon of traffic ligth on the left of your object, do a doubleclick on it and follow the istructions.

Anyway u should try to understand why that object is there (perhaps because of patch?).

to continue on max's suggestion.. this is waht SAP's docu says..

"Objects changed with the Modification Assistant cannot be processed using the respective tool. The system displays a message telling you that you must carry out a release upgrade comparison or a modification comparison first and that no changes are possible. You may also see a message informing you that changes are forbidden.

The cause of this problem is that you want to process an SAP object which has been modified or enhanced already in the current system using the Modification Assistant. During the upgrade or import of a Support Package an object version modified by SAP was transported into the system. However, the new SAP version has not yet been compared with the modified version and adjusted accordingly.

Perform a modification adjustment (SPAU) for the object. Objects supported by the Modification Assistant can be adjusted by clicking the traffic light symbol. "

Hi,

Could you please explain how to do the Modification comparison/adjustment. Whatever you read it says use SPAU and that is where it stops. Help would really be appreciated.

are you able to do this, im trying to do same in SPAU for Function Module code / FM includes but i dont know how to proceed. i tried to compare versions of the FM then tried to adjust the same but its the same problem. any idea or which options i should choose to get rid of this.

i have these code in my companie's naming convention /abc/<prgname>, on which i have repair rights.

if you can provide me steps todo that would be very nice.

Hi Sujit ,

All the  adjustments/reset after upgrade need to be take care in SPAU and SPDD .

SPAU -  functions and reports .

Ones you go to SPAU , you would see all the reports ,function modules  with traffic symbols and all the objects which need to be adjusted or reset .

You  double click on the function module (not on the traffic signal) or report which you want to work on and it would take you into the object , there do a version comparision . You will find a button on the left side just above the code to see the differences between the versions . If you have to insert a code  use insert using insert button on top or delete as needed  and save

If you want to reset use reset to original .
