From ekko, I want to know if a ebeln is a PO, RFQ, Scheduling agreement or contract. I think BSTYP is the only field which I should check. Is n't it? OR are there any other criteria?

U can Identify the Ebeln with help of BSTYP type field.
IF BSTYP = A.
Ebeln is Request for quotation
IF BSTYP = F.
Ebeln is Purchase order
IF BSTYP = K.
Ebeln is Contract
IF BSTYP = L.
Ebeln is Scheduling agreement

Yep. That is the way to go.
Here are the following possible values for field BSTYP:
A Request for Quotation
F Purchase Order
K Contract
L Scheduling Agreement
So that is all you need.
