CHIEF Retrospective Arrival

A retrospective arrival is required when goods have been exported before they were arrived on CHIEF.

When this is done the declarations receives status 61, but we are not receiving this status in SAP GTS.

Does anyone know if CHIEF is sending these status 61 messages at all?

Thank you, Tiago

Hi Tiago,

No, that's what I said; CHIEF doesn't send any messages for "assumed departure", so you won't see them in GTS.

You WILL presumably have received the "departure" report, so you could simply count 15 days from then. But your efforts should really be on fixing the "Arrival" process, rather than the resultant reporting anomolies. You can see the Status 61 entries on the MSS reports when they are issued after the end of the month, or presumably attached to the penalty notice issued eventually from HMRC!

Hi Dave,

Is Status 61 automatically set in SAP GTS after 15 days? It is not happening in our system... entries are stuck with status 50... should we need to run some program to do it?

Or is status 61 only set on CHIEF's side? If yes, how can we know which entries have status 61?

Thank you very much, Tiago

Hi Tiago,

No, CHIEF doesn't send any messages for "assumed departure". That status (61) is set automatically if there is no action after 15 days following acceptance.
