MDM in S4HANA

Hello, I have some questions regarding MDM/MDG in the new S4HANA:

1) I understand MDM/MDG are not integrated in S4HANA but will be in future.. is there any date/version for this integration?

2) Will be MDM and MDG maintained in S4HANA or only MDM will exist in future?

3) Wicht one are the advantages of use MDM with S4HANA?

Hi Maria,

Good question -- SAP suggests MDM when you are large LE customer and running multiple instances of SAP systems . In that case certainly MDM will make sense.

Now if you are SAP customer where you only couple of systems of SAP instances or single instance of SAP , then i would suggest mdg would be right fit for you.

Hi Maria,

What ever i read from different forums. SAP has launched MDG to overcome the short comings of MDM based on different customers feedback. I feel if SAP has to make a choice between MDM and MDG, then SAP it will stick MDG.

Again to your question will MDM will be there ?. MDM will be there i think. Even though SAP is bring all the components(EWM , SRM) on to S/4 hana which is called as digital core. But SAP will not discontinue any of the existing products. This is how i read.

Thanks Vengaiah! my question is then... if everything will be integrated in S4HANA, which one will be the advantage of maintain MDM? Because I understand that it will not be part of S4HANA, it will be keep separately
