SSO with R3 | Setting the ticket parameters in R3 through RZ11

Former Member

Hi ,

While implementing SSO with an R3 system I have to set the parameters values for

1) login/create_sso2_ticket=2

2) login/accept_sso2_ticket=1

I am trying to use RZ11 to view this but then if i need to change the value of these parameters then I am not able to figure out how .When I see the values of the above mentioned parameters in my R3 system , it is 0 for both of them .

I tried making an entry for the above values manually in /usr/sap/DEV/SYS/profile/DEFAULT.PFL , but then when I restarted the server , the values appear to be the same as they were before .

How can I solve this issue ?

Hi there,

try to use transaction RZ10.

Open your instance profile and enter the parameters there.

They are static, so you have to restart your instance.

Michal ,

I tried inserting the parameters in the instance profile file on the server but it did not work after restarting the server. The file that I used to insert the parameters is

d:/user/sap/<SID>/sys/profile/<sid>_<dvbmgs><system number>_<system name>

Moreover transaction RZ10 allows to edit profile only and not the profile parameters . Is there a transaction code where you can edit the parameters as well or is there some other way I can make it happen ?

Please go to transaction RZ10. Choose your instance profile. Choose Extended Maitainence --> Display.

Choose Change icon

Choose Parameter Create Icon

Enter Parameter, Save.

Make sure you save the profile while exiting.

Then restart.

You should have the parameters set.

Hey Jayesh ,

When I choose extended maintainance and then press display I get the following error ...

<b>server p01_P01_00 is not active : action cannot be executed </b>

Any clue ?

Please select the correct INSTANCE PROFILE. Also check if the INSTANCE profile you selected is active. May be you should take help of your BASIS person to check which INSTANCE profile is active , if there are multiple created.
