New characteristic added to ODS......

Hi,

I have a ODS, for which i have done init & 2 delta uploads, now i have added a new char(in ods, comm str, update rules etc), now i want to fill that char data into ODS, without disturbing the deltas. how can i do it.

Hi,

You can do a generic extractor in R/3 only with the ODS keys and the characteristic you want. In this case, the upload will fell the characteristic without change the other objects in the ODS.

It's faster then a full upload.

It's more simple than full upload in the case of upload from standard LO Cockpit extractors because you don't need to fell the setup table in R/3.

Hi Shireen,

If all the key figures in your ODS are overwritten in the update rules, you can simply load a full load after marking the request as a repair request. This will leave your delta process intact.

Hi Bhanu,

Can we do repair requests for inits or deltas, and more over i have done full upload after delta to that ODS, but the data was not activated in ODS(it shows error).

Hi Shireen,

Repir requets makes sense only for a full load, not for delta or init. Looks like you did not check for this when you did a full load and that's why the ODS shows you an error. Please check note 689964 and try to use RSSM_SET_REPAIR_FULL_FLAG .

Hi,

I havent done any repair requests, coz i dont have any full uploads before. I have done one init & 2 deltas and added a new char, and i have done full upload from the same infopackage, Error: the data was received to ods but it is not activated and says "SID's missing".
